An Evening with Andrew Lloyd Webber

The Ottumwa Area Community Chorus, under the new direction of Dr. Christine Bergan, presents its 2016 Fall concert, “An Evening of Andrew Lloyd Webber.” The Ottumwa Area Community Chorus was originally founded as a chorus for adult singers only, however, Dr. Bergan has developed a brand-new community children’s chorus for the first time in its history. This concert will feature the adult chorus and the new children’s chorus, performing both separately as well as together. Andrew Lloyd Webber has composed 13 musicals, a song cycle, a set of variations, two film scores, and a Latin Requiem Mass. In 2001 the New York Times referred to him as "the most commercially successful composer in history." For our upcoming concert, songs from the musicals “Phantom of the Opera”, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, “Cats-the Musical”, “Evita”, and many more, will be performed.
